This Disclaimer applies to all informational content on Kōyi, including the Knowledge Hub, School Explorer, Grade Calculator, pathway guides, and any school or career recommendations. Please read carefully before relying on any information.
1. No professional advice
Kōyi content is for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not legal, medical, financial, or professional academic counselling. Always consult qualified advisers, teachers, and official examination bodies for decisions affecting your education or career.
2. Not an official source
Kōyi is not affiliated with WAEC, GES, CSSPS, JAMB, NECO, university admissions offices, or any government examination or placement authority unless explicitly stated. We do not publish official cut-offs, placement results, or admission decisions.
3. Grade Calculator limitations
Aggregate calculations use commonly cited formulas for planning. Official aggregates on WAEC certificates may differ due to specific rules, subject combinations, or policy changes. Kōyi does not issue or verify WAEC, BECE, or WASSCE results. Never submit calculator output as an official document.
4. School Explorer & recommendations
School names, programmes, cut-off aggregates, and JAMB scores displayed on Kōyi are sample or illustrative data for exploration. They may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Listing a school does not imply endorsement, partnership, or guarantee of admission. Placement and admission decisions are made solely by institutions and official systems.
5. Pathway guides
Guides summarise publicly known processes that change frequently. Dates, fees, subject requirements, and policies must be confirmed with official sources before you act. Kōyi is not responsible for missed deadlines or changed requirements.
6. Course outcomes
Kōyi courses aim to support learning but do not guarantee examination passes, university admission, scholarships, or employment. Results depend on individual effort and external factors beyond our control.
7. Third-party links
Links to external websites (school sites, WAEC, JAMB, etc.) are provided for convenience. We do not control third-party content and are not responsible for their accuracy or practices.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kōyi disclaims all liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on Knowledge Hub content, calculators, school data, or recommendations — including missed placements, rejected applications, or financial loss. Use these tools at your own risk.
