Terms of Service

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Users under 18 should use Kōyi with parental or guardian consent. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local laws.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorised access.

Kōyi provides online courses, Islamic studies content, pathway guides, and planning tools. Courses are for educational purposes. Completing a Kōyi course or receiving a platform certificate does not confer government accreditation, professional licensure, or guaranteed exam passes unless explicitly stated.

You agree not to: violate laws; infringe intellectual property; upload malware; scrape or overload systems; impersonate others; harass users; cheat on assessments; share account access; or use the platform for unauthorised commercial purposes.

Kōyi and its licensors own platform content, branding, and course materials. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access content for personal learning. You may not redistribute, resell, or publicly perform course materials without permission.

If you submit reviews, notes, or discussion posts, you grant Kōyi a licence to use, display, and moderate that content on the platform. You retain ownership but are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate others' rights.

Paid courses, if offered, are billed as described at purchase. Refund policies will be stated at checkout. Scholarships and promotions may have separate terms.

Pathway guides, school listings, grade calculators, and recommendations are informational tools only. They do not constitute professional counselling, official placement, or admission offers. See our Disclaimer for full limitations.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KŌYI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON GUIDES, CALCULATORS, OR SCHOOL RECOMMENDATIONS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) GHS 100.

You agree to indemnify and hold Kōyi harmless from claims arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the platform, or infringement of third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations or legal requirements. You may delete your account by contacting support. Provisions that by nature should survive (liability limits, IP, dispute resolution) survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Ghana, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be posted with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, discontinue use and contact us to close your account.
