What is WASSCE?
WASSCE is the standard senior secondary leaving exam in Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and The Gambia. It qualifies candidates for university, polytechnic, and employment.
Grading & aggregate
Grades run A1 (best) to F9. In Ghana, university entry uses an aggregate from six subjects: English, Maths, best of Integrated Science or Social Studies, plus three electives.
After WASSCE
Apply to universities via Ghana's centralized admissions, private institutions, or — in Nigeria — JAMB UTME plus institution screening.
